In the Previous Article,
we talked about the Top Application software to have on a computer
system as a Beginner, In which we have emphasize on ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARE
which is the number one top Application to have on a computer system. AND SECONDLY, We move to TYPING TUTOR
but today We are moving down to the Number three Top application to have
on a computer system which is MICROSOFT OFFICE PACKAGE.
1.
MICROSOFT OFFICE: This is one of the great
Application programs to have on a computer system as a professional or beginner
desktop publisher. With this application
software, one will be able to perform different tasks on his/her computer
system. Microsoft Office is a collection of software
programs commonly used in an office environment. It is available on both
Windows and Mac and includes programs, servers, services, and solutions for
various business purposes. Though, Microsoft office Application software
contains many different sub applications inside. Some of the Sub applications
inside the Microsoft Office package are as follows:

MICROSOFT
WORD: Microsoft Word or MS-WORD (often called Word) is a graphical
word processing program that users can type with. It is made by the computer company
Microsoft. The purpose of the MS Word is to allow the users to type and save
documents.
Similar to other word processors, it has helpful tools to make documents.- Spelling & grammar checker, word count (this also counts letters and lines)
- Speech recognition
- Inserts pictures in documents
- Web pages, graphs, etc.
- Tables
- Displays synonyms of words and can read out the text
- Prints in different ways

MICROSOFT EXCEL: Microsoft Excel is a spreadsheet
developed by Microsoft for Windows, It features calculation, graphing tools, pivot
tables, and a macro programming language called Visual Basic for Applications.
Microsoft Excel has the basic features of all
spreadsheets, using a grid of cells
arranged in numbered rows and letter-named columns to organize
data manipulations like arithmetic operations. It has a battery of supplied
functions to answer statistical, engineering and financial needs. In addition,
it can display data as line graphs, histograms and charts, and with a very
limited three-dimensional graphical display. It allows sectioning of data to
view its dependencies on various factors for different perspectives (using pivot
tables and the scenario manager). It has a programming aspect, Visual
Basic for Applications, allowing the user to employ a wide variety of
numerical methods, for example, for solving differential equations of
mathematical physics, and then reporting the results back to the spreadsheet.
It also has a variety of interactive features allowing user interfaces that can
completely hide the spreadsheet from the user, so the spreadsheet presents
itself as a so-called application, or decision support system
(DSS), via a custom-designed user interface, for example, a stock analyzer, or
in general, as a design tool that asks the user questions and provides answers
and reports. In a more elaborate realization, an Excel
application can automatically poll external databases and measuring instruments
using an update schedule, analyze the results, make a Word report or PowerPoint
slide show, and e-mail these presentations on a regular basis to a list of
participants. ( Culled from https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Excel

MICROSOFT POWERPOINT: Microsoft PowerPoint is a powerful
presentation software developed by Microsoft. It is a standard component of the
company's Microsoft Office suite software, and is bundled together with Word,
Excel and other office productivity tools. The program uses slides to convey
information rich in multimedia. The term slide refers to the old slide
projector, which this software effectively replaces. PowerPoint experienced a
very significant change in PowerPoint 97, which added predefined transition
effects and allowed the user to time them appropriately so that slides would
transition automatically. This allowed a presenter to follow a predefined
progression and go on with the presentation without pausing to change or read
the slides.
You can create a video scene in Microsoft PowerPoint
with effects transitions and so on.
It can be bought at shops and normally comes with Microsoft Office, but can be bought separately and also, it can be downloaded online.
In the next Article, we will expatiate more on the MICROSOFT OFFICE software
Good Luck.
