Are you going to wait for this worse scenario in your life to happen? I guess NOT, right?

Then,  if you don't want to encounter such,
Here are some smart ways that I personally do to protect my computers against viruses, malicious files and spywares.

( 1 ) Run your anti-virus program everyday (some do it every week) There are many virus programs that you can get for free scanning. I would Sugest Quick Heal Antivirus.

( 2 ) Disable autorun:: Many viruses work by attaching themselves to a drive and automatically installing themselves on any other media connected to the system. As a result, connecting any network drives, external hard disks, or even flash drives to a system can result in the automatic propagation of such threats.

( 3 ) Enable Your Firewall Defender: Always make sure that your firewall Defender is switch on,  as for your computer protection to be tighten up.

( 4 ) Always remember to compressed any Executable files . Exe , documents and files to .Zip format to avoids missing of files..

( 5 ) Be sure to do a full back up of your system on a regular basis. The best way to clean up an infected file is to replace it with an original non-infected file. Not to mention the grief a current back up will save if a virus takes your system completely down. It's also a good idea to keep more than one set of backup in case the current one is infected before the virus is detected.

( 6 ) Don't allow your web browser to automatically run programs, such as MS Word or other programs through its e-mail program. Configure your browser to launch WordPad or Notepad instead. One of the biggest and growing threats is the macro virus, which is spread through data processing and spread sheet programs.

( 7 ) Never allow your Browsers to download or install any background programs..  Disable all the options in your browser settings.

( 8 ) Never open mails that are suspicious to you or not known to you. If they are in your bulk mail, send it back to your provider as "spam"! Or delete such mail immediately.

( 9 ) Be careful with files that come from a floppy disk or any other external storage when you open it in your CD ROM of floppy drive. You should know its source, or better yet, when you insert it, have it scanned with your anti-virus program before you open the files.

( 10 ) Always run all necessary latest updates,  including all your programs,  software and harware.

Make sure they are always updated.

CONCLUSION: Above are the methods to secure and protect your computer system from Virus and malwares.  Though, these may not be the best method for everyone but it more than the best for me because it saves my computer towards virus anytime.
